Why Do You Blog????

I have been looking at my blog everyday. I think of posts I could write but then I don't. I read everybody else's blogs and enjoy them so much even though I am so bad at commenting (sorry). I found this really cool Meme that was called All About Me In 30 Days and thought that would be a good way to get this blog going again and yet I still haven't done it. I guess I'm just wondering if you all have a specific reason why you blog? I thought I wanted to do it for my kids and family so we would be able to print it out someday and read all about our lives way back when. It seems like most of the blogs out there are filled with followers and advertising and comments. I am not saying this is a bad thing at all. Please, please, please don't think that I feel that way. I just am trying to figure out if that is what I want for this blog and if it is all too much pressure which makes me just shut down? I have made some good friends out there in blogland and I think it is amazing that little old me could write something and have someone on the other side of the country be interested in reading it. I guess I just need to figure out for myself my motive for doing this. Should I start a blog that is all about my family and then another one that is all about sharing recipes, advice and friendship???

What do you think? Please share your opinion with me and tell me why you blog.....

Thanks!!!!

HI Amy! I'm not a very faithful blogger, but any posts I do put up are mostly to create a record of things going on. I don't scrapbook or keep albums, so this way I have something to keep a record of my kids growing and changing.

Amy, I know exactly what you mean! I think the same thing. Don't worry about followers. Don't worry about comments or advertising. Just write when you want about what you want. And don't start another blog...so much work! Keep it all on one. This is your life. Food, family, fun and everything in between. ;o)

Hi Amy - thanks for visiting my blog re: the bra sizing adventures. lol I blog for many reasons, but mainly for myself. If I want to remember something, I write about it. One of these days, I'm going to print it off as a book, but already SO expensive! lol Makes me happy - I can be honest and say I've never had one moment where I thought about quitting or regretted blogging. Makes me sad so many people get "there" - maybe they are blogging for the wrong reasons? I love my followers but am true to myself. With my nerve pain, I realize life is short - gotta be authentic and real, not much time for much else! New follower, btw!

Personally, I like blogs that are filled with everything, recipes, thoughts, family pictures, etc. When I visit a person's blog I don't ever go there recipe blog, I always go to there main blog. I like Kristin's comment. There shouldn't be any pressure to blogging. I blog when I have time and don't when I'm busy.
